I found the show very distasteful, it was not to honor MJ, Jamie Foxx did more to poke fun at then show respect. I feel that BET should have waited and put on a real show and not rush to put anything on the air. It is very sad in America when the first “Black tribute” to MJ was done in 3 days when this man gave us his life, I feel we would have waited for BET to put on an all out tribute. BET try again and maybe you will hit a homerun with the next one when you really sit down and put your minds to it correctly.

First of all, Jay was wrong for punking BET to not let Chris perform. I know it was only three days left to revamp the awards, but it was still a tribute to the King of Pop. Drake and Wayne are talented artists, but they should’ve had women close to their age groups instead of some little girls young enough to be my niece’s age. BET doesn’t do right often, but they did the right thing not re-showing this embarrassment called a performance. You’re supposed to pay a tribute to the King of Pop, not disrespect in any form. Hopefully, BET will learn from this mistake and see this as a wake-up call.

Well if you take the words of the song Every Girl and you have kids on stage dancing to that song. It was sending a bad signal to the public. You have sick people already prey on children so it was extremely terrible. I was disgusted by it.

i understand that BET doesn’t have as much money as some of the other awards show but I thought it was kinda tacky that they had so much advertising on the set…Ninentdo, etc…but I guess they had to do what they had to do to get the show on the air.

I think that part of the show was very horrible and everyone is to blame. Incuding BET. Michael died, ok, two days to plan ok, but there was no reason for that performance to have taken place that night first of all. Secondly BET has majority of the responsibility for the content that it allows to be shown on its program, they should have been aware of who does what when they peform. Especially with the type of artist that wayne and this group is, that should have raised a red flag amoung the producers that questions should have asked before he was allowed to perform. Finally, weather it was his daughters or not, why would you have girls underage on the stage wearing hooker clothes to a song like that. I am one of the lmany that do not watch BET. I have not done so in years. Maybe because I am getting older or maybe it just sucks. Probably the fact that it is many more lame wannabe rappers. I saw young money perform in Oklahoma City, when they were here Mack Mane tried to take one of our friends back to his room and intended to hold her against her will. At that point the police got involed and I was suprised to see that DRAKE which was the oldest of the young money crew that was in attendance at that time refused to cooperate with the police and even urged the younger children that were with him not to cooperate either. So this is not suprising to me. They are just as the lable states young money and dont know how to act. All that bs about his mom inspiring him, he is so full of bs. A lot of poor taste, decisions and the new c.d. is full of wack beats and unlistenable music.

When I was younger (I’m a late 70s baby) BET was once a highly respected outlet for the African American community as a whole; they had a lot of up-to-date programming that was informative, creative & true to the game, while at the same time having a measure of not putting us in a bad light. (Read: Not having us looking like n*****s.) But now?! Hell, BET has fallen off so badly that I don’t even bother watching it anymore. It’s almost embarassing. Black Entertainment Television is more like Ignorance 101 these days. (And no, I’m not just talking about what College Hill’s ACTUAL SHOW TITLE should be.) It was harmless.You don’t see his daughter or her friends on stage pregnant then it would have been a problem. You see little girls their age now-a-days havin kids.They was just havin fun.
