I’m not a fan of Lost cuz if u miss one ep. Ur…LOST! But i’ve always noticed that Heroes kills r writes off it’s ethic cast. I mean what happened to the character Megan the muscle mimic, she was soooo cool. And the only black character that hasn’t been killed off doesn’t even have a name they just call him “The Haitian”, and that’s really offensive to me.

But don’t just think it’s the black characters. Check the latino catagory.

The character DL Hawkins on Heroes was the black guy with the abilities to allow objects to float through his body. He could walk through walls, and objects would go through him. He ended up getting shot in a nightclub, and that probably was the stupidest way for this hero to die. I never watched Lost, but I was a big fan of Smallville for the first three seasons. Pete, a character that was originally white in the comic books, was sort of the “Butt Monkey,” a character that found himself knocked out whenever he went somewhere with Clark. By the end of Pete’s stint on the show, I wanted to kill him myself. I felt the writers were incapable of making Pete likable to the viewers. Thinking back to all the Sci-Fi television programs, I cannot think of too many with a black character that wasn’t written badly.

They still dont know how to write for a minority characters with respect and valor in mind. Will Smith and Wesley Snipes have pulled it off somehow. But America still has a hard time seeing minority characters as heroic, intelligent, noble, etc.

Man I have given up on TV. There are no good black shows (Unless Tyler Perry makes it) TV SUCKS!

And they always kill off the black people unless they have a little name (Like Omar Epps, LL and Larry Fishburne)

They killed off the show The Wire, and they can’t even put that on DVD right. HBO didn’t even give it respect enough to put it up for awards. (Like other white shows there were not even as good!)

You definitely have a point!

Finally someone saw what I have been seeing for years. The US is supposed to be leader in the world but the way I look at it when it comes to black people not the case.
