I really liked her, the show was alot better when she was there.

I loved the first Aunt Viv than the other one who replaced her. The other one acted like a Stepford wife to me.

Not for nothing but she had a “bit part” in this show. Who she thought she was going to be? Clair Huxtable? It is well known that she was faux diva having all the attitude and none of the talent. Her book should be titled “Sour Grapes”.

This guy was a hyper successful kid back then. Who can blame him acting a fool? At least he’s one of the very few respected black top stars in Hollywood without playing shoe-shine boys or slaves.

To reiterate my point,does anybody realize that though this story is about Janet Hubert,EVERY photo has Will Smith in it? In fact out of the 10 photos in the slide-show, she is in NONE of them.

She was kicked off of the show due to her nasty attitude one that played well as her character. Why is it that out of everyone that was on that show she was the only one that is now after 55 years talking crap. I am sure that even with the things that she has to say it is not going to phase Will not one bit. This man has come from bubble rapping to be one of the highest paid black male actor and she can’t touch that. She for whatever reason sat on what she felt she had to say all those years even after she was replaced and now she wants someone to hear what she has to say. I will admit she did the part playing as his Aunt way more justice that Mrs. Maxwell did her acting is about as lame as her husband is which is why after Sister, Sister went off the air so did his career. Janet need to take her negative energy and try to find a way to do something positive with it. Somebody’s quite bitter at Will Smith’s success. It didn’t matter to me why she left the show because I wasn’t watching the show for her. It was about Will antics, Carlton’s crazy dancing and Hilary’s sexy azz, to be honest. Aunt Viv was way down on my list. She didn’t play her position and she got packed and shipped. The show continued without missing a beat in my opinion. Now TVOne wants to open up old and forgotten wounds for ratings. Nice try, but I just don’t care enough to listen to Ms. Sour Grapes. That was over 15 years ago. Get over it and move on, Janet…

HATED the way she played that character. I like the new aunt Viv a ALOT better. The old one just reminded me of some neck shakin finger snapin broad.

People make a big deal cause the new one was lighter skinned, but to me that aint the issue. I could just feel the bad attitude of the old one coming through the tv screen on a weekly basis.

I wonder how Will Smith sees this now that he is 42. I mean, it is easy for an older person to see people in their late teens and early twenties as buffoonish.
I didn’t like Daphne Maxwell-Reid as aunt Viv. She okay in the role but Janet Hubert was DARK-SKINNED and FINE! And I thought that was a reason for the producers of the show make it popular to whites by getting rid of one of the only 2 dark-skinned actors on the show!

Jane Hubert was booted from the show for reasons which had nothing to do with her shade of blackness. She was notoriously b***hy, continually upset that the show revolved around Will Smith’s character. She believed she had paid her dues and deserved to be the star, not some “snot nosed kid who couldn’t remember his lines and who’s life revolved around rap. She was not well liked by any other of the cast or the crew as a result and when her diva act began to wear, she was axed. I think she still claims that she quit to go backk to Broadway, but you know how that goes. We all know where Will is, but most people have no clue bout Hubert, nor do they care.

She did say it was juvenille at the time and that it was hard for her to get work elsewhere, because the word got around that she was hard to work with.
