Oprah Apologizes To Robin Givens Over Tyson’s ‘Sock Her’ Comment

Oprah Winfrey apologized to Robin Givens on Friday’s episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” over how she dealt with a comment made by the star’s ex, former boxer Mike Tyson, last month.
“I was really hurt, really, really hurt,” Givens told Winfrey of the TV show host’s and her audience’s reaction to the boxer’s October “Oprah” show comments about the actress’ 1998 Barbara Walters interview. Tyson previously claimed on Oprah’s show that Givens lied during the interview and he added, “At that particular moment, I truly wanted to sock her, but I didn’t do it,” as the “Oprah” audience laughed.
Givens, who is a spokesperson for the National Domestic Violence Hotline, said the reaction was difficult to take.
“I just wanted you… When he said ‘I’ve socked her before,’ to say, ‘That’s not right!’ And it wasn’t right and it was painful,” Givens said. “There are so many women like me out there… if you hear laughter about it, it lightens it.”

Mike said what he wanted to do at the time and he was quite honest about it. Robin get another cause please. Oprah please don’t apologize for your audience, it was funny (what he said) but this is the only way she can get on TV now. Mike has been through a lot and he’s paid dearly for it. Seems he has moved on and you haven’t. Let go let god girl. I was even shocked 20 years ago when they did that interview and she called him a manic depressive on nationwide TV. That hurt. She hasn’t worked since.
Ok, what exactly is Opra appologizing for? All she did was ask a question after he made a comment, she didn’t laugh or even as much as crack a smile after she asked so I don’t get it. I mean isn’t she supposed to ask questions of her quest so the veiwers can get some understanding of what happened or why someone did what ever.

Wow producer…..I would say that anytime a dude puts his hands on a woman like that he desrves to have every red cent he puts his hands on snatched!! That dumb a$$ should’ve thought twice about hitting her if he loved his money so much. I’m not saying Robin isn’t a gold digger, but hey, anytime you hit a woman (lets just be honest) any wrong she does or has done is absolved….and that’s Point Blank Period!
After what she and her mother did and took from that man…I never advocate our Kingz hitting our Queens but ladies I remember CLEARLY what this uh..lady did to this man. She became an instant millionaire, on a house of lies. And when dealing with a person Mike she was very fortunate, that all has lost was some tears.
