Because ignorance amongst black receives the most attention…NOT necessarily because other races are trying to bring us down (everybody has their opinion about that, so just leave that one there), but because that’s the “cool / hip” thing. you will NEVER see uneducated cornballs like the one who opened this topic make a thread on any black children who excel in spelling, math, scienece, etc, and actually make the papers and news because of their BRAINS; you’ll never see the morons who put together these topics make one about the children here in Harlem who are actually challenging right WHITE kids and their families for a seat in elite private schools because of their IQ’s and good grades instead of their incomes; you’ll never see these idiots who make these threads ever even MENTION the fact that Columbia University here in Harlem is about to have their commencement and a portion of the students are BLACK (an accomplishment that should be talked about BY DEFAULT [I will definitely be there this year taking pictures of all the black graduates just to post them up somewhere]). No! The only thing ANYBODY in this society these days can do is lead by example and HOPE someone catches a ride on the train. I mean, look at what’s going on in our own community…our children are being taught and are allowed to learn every rap lyric (curses included) and freaky dance in the book….BUT CAN’T SPELL THEIR OWN F**KING NAMES!!!

All anybody can do is try to raise some children who DON’T look to rap, basketball, or drug dealing to get them out of the hood. Maybe a child here and there might see that it’s possible to use your BRAIN to excel and get influenced by that….that’s all anybodyh can do these days…

Now had this been the 70s and 80s this wouldn’t be a problem. That whole “it takes a village to raise a child thing was very true….hell, that same village helped raise EVERYBODY’S CHILD. If they f**k up and the neighbors found out, they went upside their heads FOR the parents while they’re at work….NOWADAYS, all you hear is “that’s not your kid, so mind your business”. Forget the fact that yuo just saw that same 11 year old smoking weed on the corner….
