It was a good show….took me back to a great era in Hip Hop :) If I understand correctly Jay-Z is in Europe on tour, Kanye didn’t return calls to perform ,one of the Beastie Boys is battling cancer and LL was filming for that new NCIS show he’s on…which is why they weren’t there as per questlove’s twitter page. I like Trey Songz and all but his voice was too damn high to sing Nate Dogg’s part….there quite a few people who I wished was there but overall I enjoyed watching the show.

I liked meth and red. Ghostface and Scarface were very cool. Its good to see DMX on stage again. Eminem, The Roots and DJ Jazzy Jeff was on fire. The rest of the show was garbage.

Thanks VH1. I don’t have cable so this a blessing for me, I’m about to watch this again. I love the video. LL is my favorite artist.

Finally a real hip hop show without garbage like Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy and the rest of them whack crack rappers. Jazzy Jeff is sick on the 1′s and 2′s.

Man I am watching it now and Em, and Black Thought ripped it on Rock the Bells, loved the B-boys too. You could tell that was the happiest day of LL’s life when he got his deal.

thank u eclecticmami, really, i didn’t know all that was goin on, and charvon, jay-z hasn’t been pres of def jam since 07, his contract wasn’t renewed and he was forced to step down and la reid took over as pres.. that’s why i was thinkin he wasn’t there but eclecticmami told me he was on tour… overall i think it was kinda wack, but eminem killed it,trytruelove- foxy did look like she had a weave on her lashes, that’s too funny..i was disappointed, i agree too many ppl got left out…
