Tennis star Serena Williams was rushed to the emergency room in Los Angeles on Monday to undergo treatment for a pulmonary embolism, a blood clot in the lungs, according to a statement released by her reps.
“Monday Serena Williams underwent emergency treatment at Cedars for a hematoma she suffered as a result of treatment for a more critical situation,” the statement reads.
