Peyton Hillis Beats Michael Vick For Madden 2012 Cover
PETA got their wish. Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hills beat out The Eagles Michael Vick in fan voting to become the cover star of the Madden NFL 2012 video game. The 10th seeded Hillis tallied 66% of the vote in the finals of the bracket. Over 13 million votes were cast on ESPN.com.
After he was named the winner, Hillis said he was “excited” and he didn’t think he had a shot against Vick, whom he has “always looked up to.” Vick was gracious in defeat and thanked his supporters for getting him this far. Vick was on the cover of Madden 2004.
The question now remains for Fantasy Football fans: do you draft Hillis knowing about the Madden Curse?
