Missy Misdemeanor Elliott is one of hip hop’s most successful female artist to date. Missy Elliott officially broke out onto the rap scene when she was featured on Gina Thompson’s “The Things You Do” produced by Sean “Puffy” Combs. Before the big break, Missy started out in a group called, Sista. Sista was a all female group signed with Elecktra Records. The group recorded an album but disbanded after Elecktra was not prepared to release the album.
