What: The Fugees sold millions of records, but it didn’t stop Lauryn Hill from trying her hand at a solo career. The result was “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” a landmark album that raised the bar for female MCs (and singers too) and won a record breaking ten Grammy nominations (winning five, including Record of the Year in 1999).
