Comedian/actor Chris Rock has joined that cast of the ensemble comedy/drama What To Expect, When You’re Expecting, which already stars Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Brooklyn Decker and Anna Kendrick.
The film is an adaptation of the pregnancy manual of the same name, and, as the producers note, will follow a similar style as previous ensemble romcoms like Love Actually and Valentine’s Day.
The story will center on four couples experiencing their very first pregnancies, and the accompanying surprises, peaks and valleys.
Chris Rock will play a man named Vic, who is the head of a group of expectant fathers, dishing out advice to them on the realities of the impending parenthood each is about to experience for the very first time.
The four actresses above will play the female halves of the interconnected couples. No news on who their husbands will be.
If you’re in New York City, Chris Rock can currently be seen on the Broadway stage, co-starring in The MF With The Hat.
On screen, he’ll next be seen in Julie Delpy’s 2 Days in New York, which is scheduled for release later this year.
