50 Cent has offered to mentor Joaquin Phoenix as the Oscar-nominated actor forges ahead with his bizarre plan to launch a career in hip-hop.

50 believes “The Bearded One” has a chance at success in the rap world as long as he stays true to himself and draws on his own life experiences.

“He should write about the things that he has real interest in, the things he has been influenced by,” the “In Da Club” star said in an interview with BlackVoices.com last week.

“It’s not necessary for you to be involved in criminal activity at any point in your life for you to be a part of hip-hop. You can come in and write from a totally positive perspective…”
