Sean Penn Named Ambassador To Haiti
Sean Penn Becomes Ambassador For Haiti
Two time Oscar winner Sean Penn was just named Ambassador at Large for Haiti. The honor was bestowed on the actor for his continued humanitarian efforts in the Caribbean country since being devastated by an earthquake in 2010. Haiti’s president, Michel Martelly, held a special ceremony to honor Penn. Martelly thanked Penn for making sure the devastation in Haiti stays on the world’s radar.
The president joked that the only downside to Penn’s new position is the fact he can no longer call Penn by his first name. Sean Penn must now be addressed as “Ambassador.”
