25 Artists That Need To Be Heard: DJ E-Dubble
Boston’s DJ E-Dubble knows the value of covering all bases. The 27-year old mixer for I Heart Radio, Sirius Satellite radio and Boston’s WJMN radio station, doesn’t limit himself to playing just one type of music. He prides himself on being proficient in blending hip-hop, reggae and dance music together, to reach all kinds of listeners with different tastes.
A self-proclaimed ‘3-headed monster’, Dubble makes sure his name stays hot in the streets through mixtapes with top artists like Pitbull, Sean Paul and Young Jeezy, in the clubs of Beantown like Liquid, Mint and Player Room, and breaking records on the radio. Currently working on developing his own website and self-syndication of his radio show, “Dubble or Nothing”, he says that in today’s day and times, ‘open format’ is undoubtedly the only way to go.
“Everyone can see,” he explains, “but you have to have the vision after the sight… So I’m taking control of my future… I want to be the torch-bearer for the next generation to keep running.”
