Rapper/businessman 50 Cent was hanging out at the gym with Joan Rivers. Do not reread the last sentence over. You read correctly. Joan Rivers and 50 Cent were kicking it while at the gym. The pair are a new commercial for 50’s Street King energy drink. They shot the advertisement at Planet Fitness in Harlem on Tuesday.
50 Cent was looking to assemble a rag tag team of celebs for his Street King commercials. 50 explained to Access Hollywood, “I tried to put together the odd team, not the A-team. It has a lot of different layers to it for something that has to happen in 30 seconds.”
Rivers aka 34 Cent talked about the concept behind the commercial, saying, “The premise of the commercial is I have no energy, I drink the drink, and I’m ready for fun.” Rivers’ version of fun is rocking a $75,000 chinchilla coat and plenty of diamonds.
There is no exact time frame for when the commercial will begin airing, but we look forward to this one.
