Ashanti To Star In ‘The Wiz’ Remake
R&B star Ashanti [click here to read] will ease on down the road to her first theater role this summer in a New York-staged revival of “The Wiz.”
The Grammy winner will star as Dorothy in the African American version of L. Frank Baum’s “The Wizard of Oz,” which begins in June as part of the “Encores! Summer Stars” series at New York City Center [click here to read].
