50 Cent made the daytime rounds, stopping by Rachael Ray to chat about his latest happenings. 50 announced that his fifth studio album will drop July 2, 2012. Being ever the savvy businessman, The G-Unit commander-in-chief explained his reason for his album release date:
“Every two days something interesting will happen. My album drops on the 2nd, the 4th is Independence Day and the 6th is my birthday.”
When Ray asked 50 what were the last three songs he’d downloaded on his iPod, he sheepishly confessed “to be honest, Get Rich or Die Trying. I had to listen to it before my performance, because I had to do the whole album from front to back.”
