Clutch magazine has caught wind of a petition launched by Change.org writer Alexis M. leveled against Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada and her alleged bad behavior.

The petition states:

Evelyn Lozada is a bully. The violence on “Basketball Wives” is horrible and disgraceful. Physical assaults, threats, verbal abuse, and harassment. VH1 is rewarding this behavior by giving Evelyn a spinoff. Don’t reward negative behavior.

Call or write Viacom who owns VH1. Let your voice be heard!

Address: 1515 Broadway, New York, New York 10036, U.S.A.

Telephone: (212) 258-6000

Fax: (212) 258-6464

This is not a hate petition against Eveyln Lozada. We simply will not support violence. It hurts to see violence amongst women on television for entertainment purposes. It is not ok for women to hit each other on TV.

Thus far, over 1000 fans of the reality star have signed the series. One fan named Carolyn Martin wrote on the site holding the petition:

I have no respect for bullies and women who believe acting ignorant is cool. He (Ocho) has young children, and this woman has thrown glasses, bottles and ran across a table like she’s a part of a wild animal park, will she put on her fake smile and act the proper stepmom? Too late, she’s already shown her true colors and they are ugly. She deserves no show.

Now, this actually isn’t the first time fans have taken a stand against Evelyn. On Lozada’s very own Web site there was an outpouring of “girl, grow up” sentiments left under one of her blog posts.

You can check out the petition here.

Has Evelyn really changed all that much? Should reality star viewers really expect fine moral behavior on a show popularized by antics engaging in anything but? Will this serve as a wake up call for Evelyn or will she dismiss much of this as musings from the haters, boo boo?
