Griffin, who was sporting socks that fit the team’s color scheme, had some trouble getting a Washington Football Team hat over his braids. He ended up wearing it just a tad crooked while he flashed big smiles for photos.
“Hail to the Washington Football Team! Hail vic-tor-y!” Griffin said during a conference call. “That’s how I felt. It felt that good.”
Fellow quarterback Andrew Luck was taken first overall by the Indianapolis Colts.
