Life is definitely good for Nasir Jones. His new album is in stores today and in support of the project Nas performed his song “Daughters” on The David Letterman Show.

On the song Nas recounts the challenges of raising his teenaged daughter Destiny and how he may have mishandled some situations like her posting inappropriate photos on social networks.

Life Is Good is arguably Nas’s best album since his first, Illmatic, and is better in some ways. The almost two decades of life experience that Nas puts on display surpasses the limited perspective of the 19-year-old from The Queensbridge Projects without compromising intensity that made fans love him.

Shout out to DJ Green Lantern cuttin up the 1s and 2s along with the live band.
