Actor, Choreographer, Singer, and Dancer Adesola Osakalumi currently brings his vast talents and experience to the stage as the lead in Fela!, the Broadway musical dedicated to the life and music of the late Nigerian musician and political activist Fela Kuti.

After an initial off-Broadway run, the show debuted on Broadway in 2009 to rave reviews. Hip-Hop luminaries like Jay-Z and ?uestlove heaped praise on the performance and even signed on as producers.  Fela! went on to win three Tony Awards in 2010 for Best Choreography, Best Costume Design for a Musical and Best Sound Design of a Musical.

Thankfully, Fela! has returned to Broadway this summer giving those who missed it a second chance to witness one of the most inspiring and talked-about shows of recent years.  It is also a homecoming for Adesola, who began as a member of the ensemble cast and was eventually promoted to the lead.
