Clifton Powell Responds To Rape Lawsuit On The Radio
Actor Clifton Powell is not one to take being falsely accused of rape and the victim’s subsequent lawsuit lying down. The man best known for playing Pinky in the “Friday” series adamantly denies the woman’s claims and says this whole situation is just about money.
In case you don’t remember, a woman going by the name of Kiyante Myers is suing Powell for $75,000 for allegedly raping her in a New Orleans hotel room last year. Though a police investigation was conducted and Clifton Powell was not charged with any crime, Myers took her suit to Louisiana federal court.

Powell responded to Kiyante Myers’ lawsuit on the radio in Atlanta. when approached about the situation, Powell expressed, “She got mad because I wouldn’t give her any money. I’ve never hurt anyone. I was never arrested. Never. TMZ is reporting this like it happened yesterday. This happened a year ago and people need to know the truth.”
