Singer Elle Varner continues to march to the beat of her own drum. The young chanteuse further distinguishes herself from the rest of the female R&B pack with her new sultry video for “I Don’t Care.” Directed by Lenny Bass, Elle injects a message of love and tolerance into the clip. “I Don’t Care” features an interracial love story which is being opposed by people around the couple. Another story told is one of the gay and lesbian community. A gay couple is seen dancing together at a party and things getting out of hand once a homophobic group of people incite violence against the couple. the moral of the video is that love is all you really need to be victorious over any obstacle.

Not only is Varner on the promotional trail for “i Don’t Care,” the R&B singer-songwriter is preparing for her “Perfectly Imperfect” tour which is set to begin on September 22nd in Jackson, Mississippi. Elle is also going to be a special guest at Nas‘ recently announced concert at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on New Year’s Eve.
