The BET Hip-Hop Awards have been the talk of the hip-hop blog town for a few weeks. Last night, the ceremony finally aired and there was much to discuss. We have to give it to BET. Despite hearing about all of the violence that took place backstage, the actual show was better than those of past years. Some of the performances were better than others. While the performances were elevated, with the best one being the Chris Lighty tribute, many people complained on Twitter that the cyphers weren’t up to par.

Peep all of the craziness from the BET Hip-Hop Awards below including the performances and winners. Make sure you catch the Rick Ross and Omarion performance. Then you can see why people were calling Maybach O a hip-hop praise dancer.
