For those anxious to see what Frank Ocean performs at Coachella, don’t hold your breath if you want to hear “American Wedding.” The Odd Future member has been threatened with a lawsuit by The Eagles frontman, Don Henley over an uncleared sample of their hit “Hotel California.” “American Wedding” was featured on Ocean’s 2011 mixtape, Nostalgia, Ultra. Since the project never had a commercial release, Ocean never had to clear the sample. However, if he performs it live, Don Henley wants his cut of the proceeds.

Frank Ocean seemed to be flattered by Henley’s threats, saying, “Don Henley is apparently intimidated by my rendition of “Hotel California”. He threatened to sue if I perform it again. I think that’s fuckin awesome.”

Whose side are you on? Should Don Henley sue Frank Ocean for the uncleared sample? Sound off in the comments.
