Usher’s five-year-old son, Usher Raymond, IV, was released from an Atlanta hospital after nearly drowning in the pool at Usher’s home last week.

According to the NYPost, the boy was released from Children’s Healthcare of Altanta-Scottish Rite on Sunday. His mother, Usher’s ex Tameka Foster Raymond, didn’t see her son until he went to school on Monday to attend orientation for the new year.  However, she did post this photo of him on her Instagram page:

The boy almost drowned when he was diving for a toy at the bottom of the pool, but was rescued by two workers in the house. He was being supervised by his aunt who tried unsuccessfully to free him from  a stuck drain.  Usher was not at home when it happened.

Following the incident Tameka filed for emergency custody of the boy but a judge denied her claim.  Raymond vented her frustrations during an interview with “Good Morning American” on ABC.

“I was mad because I was like ‘How did this even happen? Who was watching him? Why was my son under water for nearly 3 minutes?,” she said.
