‘The Butler’ Tramples Over Competition In The Box Office

Lee Daniels’ “The Butler” trampled all competition this past weekend in the box office. Debuting at No. 1, “The Butler” raked in nearly $25 million. “The Butler” was inspired by the story of former White House butler Eugene Allen. The film was shown in 2,933 theaters and starred Oprah Winfrey and Forest Whitaker.
