In advance of the release of her latest mixtape, “She Got Game,” Rapsody has been leaving a trail of treats for fans to snack on and this latest might break their teeth.

With Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” verse bringing the discussion of lyricism to main stream rap fans, the timing couldn’t have been better for this nimble display of verbal parkour featuring Rap, Phonte & Jay Electronica, “Jedi Code.”

The three MCs attack this 9th Wonder canvas with bold strokes and rewind-worthy lines like “Before you get wreck-l-ess with Phontiga and start slinging epithets/ you better off walking through the crowd holdin’ hands with two white b*tches at Essence Fest..”

If we had to be honest though, this is the second time in recent weeks that Jay Electronica has been out-shined on a track. Are we witnessing the #rothschildeffect on Erykah’s baby daddy?
