LeBron James hung in there and kept the faith over the years and yesterday married his high school sweetheart Miss Savannah Brinson in a San Diego ceremony.
It’s rare that you get to see this type of story play out. The two met in Akron, Ohio when they were just teens and Savannah has been by his side through it all. His transition from talented kid on the high school basketball team to instant mega star of the basketball world was a lot to transverse but Savannah was there with him holding his hand and continuing to grow into adulthood with the guy she loved.
The couple have two children together; LeBron James Jr. and Bryce James.
According to Vibe, the wedding took place at the Grand Del Mar hotel and had a guest list of about 200 people, including several of James’ Miami Heat teammates. The three-day event included a “welcome barbecue” on Friday and a “farewell brunch” on Sunday. The couple exchanged their vows at the hotel’s Capella Chapel.
The internets are now buzzing that Beyonce and Jay Z flew in to perform their 2003 hit “Crazy in Love” with a full band. Beyonce, is currently on tour in Brazil for her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, but rumors are swirling that she flew in just for the wedding, despite having a show in Rio De Janeiro the night before and Sao Paulo tonight.
High security measures were taken to keep the ceremony private. There are no pictures of the festivities as of yet.
