For a good ten years, fans have been hoping, wishing, and praying that Andre 3000 will finally decide to release a proper solo album. However, that hasn’t come to fruition, despite his OutKast counterpart has released two solo projects. Despite not putting out material, 3 Stacks is in the studio and almost appeared on a remix to Juicy J‘s ratchet hit “Bandz A Make Her Dance.”

When producer Mike Will Made It was a guest on “RapFix Live,” he revealed that Andre 3000 recorded verses for a remix to Juicy J’s hit record, but never sent them because he didn’t like his verses. While Mike Will Made it did let that tidbit of information slip, he wasn’t too forthcoming about the types of conversations he has had with the enigmatic rapper. Mike Will Made it said, “I’m a big Andre 3000 fan, so when he called …we talked on the phone and he was telling me like, ‘Yo man, I’m a fan of your music,’ and [I had to make sure] ‘This is Three Stacks right?”

“He said ‘I’m a fan of your music, I’ve been listening to your music and ‘Bandz A Make Her Dance’ was my favorite song. I wanted to get on the remix but I wasn’t feeling my verses,” he further explained before adding, “They couldn’t have been wack.”

Despite Andre 3000 saying he has no plans to put out new music any time soon, Mike Will Made It alluded to the fact they might be working on some music in the very near future. “We had a good convo and then we got in the studio and we worked…well, we just vibed,” he continued. “He played me some stuff, I played him some stuff and he just gave me a lot of game, ’cause he paved the way for us, for everybody out of Atlanta.”

Is Andre 3000’s solo album going to be the new “Detox” or what? Sound off below.
