Amidst of all of the infidelity rumors circulating around her marriage, Mrs. Carter is ignoring it all and doing some good for her hometown.

After giving half a million to the Chime For Change organization last month, Beyonce has reportedly donated $7 million to build a housing complex for the homeless in her hometown of Houston, Texas.

Reverend Rudy Rasmus, the pastor of St. John’s Church where Beyonce sang as a child, was recently interviewed by KHOU where he called Beyonce an “incredible human being:”

“She’s an incredible human being. Has an incredible heart and has been extremely helpful in our mission and our ministry here.”

Reverent Rasmus presided over the Carter’s wedding in 2008.

Go on, Mrs. Carter! Kudos to you for staying true to your roots.
