Rapper Beanie Sigel Shot In Hospital After Altercation
UPDATE: Rapper Beanie Sigel In Critical Condition After Being Shot
Philadelphia based rapper, Beanie Sigel was reportedly shot in the torso this morning after an altercation outside of a New Jersey home, according to NBC 10 in Philadelphia.
At this time, the circumstances surrounding the altercation are unclear. The former Rocafella Records artist was just released from prison in August after serving a two-year sentence for tax evasion.
NBC 10 reports that Sigel, whose real name is Dwight Grant, was wearing an ankle monitor at the time he was shot. Another man was also injured, according to Press of Atlantic City. The other individual injured refused medical treatment on the scene.
UPDATE: NBC 10 reports that Sigel had a fight outside of a Pleasantville, New Jersey home. He is in critical condition and is in surgery.
“The whole thing is a tragedy,” a cousin of Sigel’s wife said, who refused to give her name. “It’s just very sad and I just ask that everybody keep our family in prayer and that he pulls through.”
