Fans may know SZA as a member of the Top Dawg Ent. collective, but the TDE singer is also an established songwriter. SZA recently spoke about penning one of this year’s most touted collaborations, “Feeling Myself,” a Beyonce-assisted cut that appeared on Nicki Minaj’s album The Pinkprint.
“Yeah, I wrote parts of that,” SZA said during an interview with SwaysUniverse. “A nice chunk of that. I’m on the credits, so I think it’s really interesting. It was dope meeting Beyonce, she’s tight. She’s perfect actually.”
Beyond her own work, SZA said that “Kendrick [Lamar] is about to change music.” She wouldn’t speak any further about Kendrick, but emphasized that he is going to make a difference with his next release.
Fans of SZA’s work can also be excited about the star’s next album, A.
