Bobby Shmurda has a while to think about his budding rap career as he sits in jail. The 19-year-old rapper, who was arrested for being the “driving force” behind his gang’s crimes late 2014, believes that his record label, Epic, hasn’t been showing him support.

In a New York Times article, it’s the question arises whether Bobby (whose real name is Ackquille Pollard) will be able to capture the success of his smash “Hot N—a.” He faces 25 years in prison if he is found guilty for the charges, including conspiracy, gun possession, and reckless endangerment.

We took a look at the numbers, and Bobby Shmurda’s future looks bleak if convicted. The Urban Daily compiled a list of popular rappers who have gone to prison within the last 15 years to see if they found equal (or greater) success after being released from jail. Take a look at the infographic below.

The Urban Daily reached out to Epic Records, and the label declined to comment. We will update when as more details arise.
