Bobby Shmurda was reportedly involved in a gang-fueled prison brawl.
According to TMZ’s law enforcement sources, Shmurda and five other inmates were cleaning house when the fight broke out at the Otis Bantum Correctional Center in New York on April 15. Officers believe it was a gang-related brawl between rival Bloods and Crips. TMZ reports that four Crips (Shmurda included) engaged blows with two rival Blood members.
The publication says that prison guards broke up the fracas with three blasts of pepper spray.
Bobby Shmurda’s trial is set to begin on June 25. The “Hot Boy” rapper, along with various members of his GS9 crew, face a string of charges including conspiracy, murder and assault, as well as drugs and weapons charges.
