During a freestyle at Hot 107.9’s Birthday Bash in Atlanta on Saturday (June 20), Kanye West addressed the shooting that took place at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in South Carolina last week.

“See, that’s the magic of racism, it works on itself,” Kanye West raps. “We hate each other, shoot each other, kill each other, when we can’t kill nobody else / See that’s the magic of lack of resources, it works on itself / 500 niggas getting pop-pop-pop-pop-pop-pop-popped and North Carolina didn’t help / See that’s the magic of racism, it works on itself.”

Nine people were left dead after Dylann Storm Roof, a 21-year-old Lexington County, South Carolina native, opened fire last Wednesday evening (June 17).
