Kendrick Lamar Surprises With A Video For The “For Free?” Interlude

There are many high-concept songs on To Pimp A Butterfly that would make a decent video: the dark “u,” the metaphorical “How Much A Dollar Cost?” and the album-closing “Mortal Man” are a few. We don’t have those videos. Instead, we get a video for one of the interludes: the Cab Calloway channeling “For Free?”

The video is as zany as the song that inspired it. A woman rants about not getting the material things she wants before Kendrick Lamar pesters her throughout a mansion, insistent that she realizes, “This d*ck ain’t free.” Of course, you get a bit of symbolism, too. Watch the short treat above.
