Before Mp3s became the standard music delivery method an album or CD’s cover art played a huge part in the consumer experience. Record collectors around the world value the condition of a jacket almost as much as the vinyl itself and many of the last remaining record stores have immortalized covers on the walls. But now cover art has been reduced to a JPEG on an iPod that barely gets noticed half the time.

With that in mind I created a gallery of album graphics and artwork that I found to be either classic in their execution, controversial for one reason or another, but totally memorable either way.
