J-Kwon is best known for releasing “Tipsy,” and now the young rapper is working towards duplicating that success with Hood Hop 2.5, complete with a track titled “Tipsy ’09.” After releasing a digital album with Hood Hop 2, he is now preparing to release all new material through Gracie Productions/EMI.

“Louie Bounce (I Smacked Nikki)” is the title of the first single to emerge off the new album and it may be followed by “Do the Stevie.”

Although he has taken a break from the industry, he says he is ready to come back to his old fans.

“I am happy to be giving my longtime fans music that excites me. ‘Hood Hop 2.5’ is another chapter of my growth as an artist, and I look forward to giving my generation what they want. From party songs to lyrics about life – I can do it all. I have a long career ahead of me, and I hope the fans are ready to take this journey with me,” he said through a statement.
