Rev. Al Sharpton : "When Did George Zimmerman Become A Celebrity?"

Earlier this week, the Rev. Al Sharpton spoke about the “celebrity” fight that is being planned between George Zimmerman and rapper DMX. Sharpton contributed something needed to the dialogue. That something has been slowly emerging into the conversation about this event…it’s called common sense.

Some of us want justice for Tryavon so badly that we will support a rapper beating Zimmerman to a pulp just to feel like something was done to him for what he did to Trayvon. The problem with this is that by allowing Zimmerman to have the attention that he’s always wanted in the first place…in our endeavors to punish him…we might just give him what has been in his wildest dreams all along…fame. Only not a shamed type of fame but one that makes him think he should be on V.I.P. lists etc.

If nothing else should make us think twice about how we all view this fight…this fact should…on Trayvon Martin’s birthday….George Zimmerman’s name was TRENDING on Twitter because of this fight. Maybe this isn’t the best justice for Trayvon and his memory after all guys….we’re just saying.
