At last night’s MTV Movie Awards Nicki Minaj won the crowd over by keeping it simple. The singer and sometimes actress ditched the “Jetson’s” inspired metallic outfits and technicolor hair to bet on black–and we all won.

In other MTV Movie Awards news, Lupita Ny’ongo’s win streak for her role in “12 Years A Slave” came to an end last night. The Oscar winner lost out to “Hunger Games: Catching Fire” star Jennifer Lawrence in the “Best Female Performance” category. However, she took the loss in stride and posted this amusing pic on Instagram with the caption, “You lose you snooze.”

Kelis’s new album “Food” is her sixth complete project and she is releasing it exactly fifteen years after her debut, “Kaleidescope.” So far she has released two singles, “Rumble” and “Jerk Ribs” but you can stream the entire album at NPR now.

“Food” will be in stores on April 21st.

It was also a busy night in television with the jaw-dropping episode of “Game of Thrones” and the return of AMC’s hit series “Made Men.” Don Draper and the crew are back for the final season and things got off to its usual slow start. In the episode called “Time Zones” Don things pick up a mere eight weeks after Don is placed on indefinite leave from “Sterling Cooper and Partners” and meets up with his wife Megan in Los Angeles, where her acting career is taking off. He also meets with Pete Campbell who is still every bit the douche we remember him to be but now with a bad tan and more questionable fashion choices.

Back in New York Roger Sterling is living the “Hangover” lifestyle waking up in a room with naked women sprawled over the floor and Joan is adjusting to her new role as partner and struggles with being taken seriously. Watch a synopsis below.
