How tall is Kendrick Lamar? Kendrick Lamar stands 5 feet, 6 inches tall, according to CelebrityMeasurement.com, and if that number is correct, the Compton rapper is shorter than the average American male. Of course, the average American male can’t write albums as great as “Good Kid, m.A.A.d City,” Kendrick’s first proper studio outing following a series of acclaimed mixtapes. “Good Kid” landed via Dr. Dre’s Aftermath label and helped earn Lamar a slew of Grammy nominations, including one for Best Rap Album, a prize he famously lost to “Thrift Shop” htimakers Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. After the 2014 Grammys, Macklemore texted Lamar to offer a kind of apology, and he wasn’t the only one who thought Kendrick should have taken home the gramophone statue.

But Kendrick doesn’t need a Grammy to walk tall. The 5-foot, 6-inch rhymer gets by on the intelligence and poeticism of his lyrics, and unlike many of his gangsta-rap heroes, he writes about inner-city issues such as violence and drug abuse with the thoughtfulness of a guy who’s fascinated by what’s going on around him but wary of succumbing to the gangster lifestyle and becoming another statistic. Although Lamar is just a newcomer, he’s already collaborated with the likes of Robin Thicke, J. Cole, and Birdman, and he’s reportedly worth a cool $10 million.

How tall is Kendrick Lamar compared to other famous rappers? He’s shorter than Kanye West, Drake, and Jay Z, who stand 5 feet, 8 inches; 6 feet; and 6 feet, 2 inches, respectively. His 5-foot, 6-inch frame makes him the exact same height as Lil Wayne, however, and both artists are taller than Geto Boys legend Bushwick Bill, checks in at 3 feet, 8 inches. Of course, Lamar’s height doesn’t really matter, and physical stature has absolutely nothing to do with why songs like “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe” and “Swimming Pools (Drank)” resonate with the public.
