Singer Jhene Aiko is having an awesome year when it comes to her career. After dropping a well-received EP “Sail Out,” performances at Coachella and Hot 97’s Summer Jam concert, and touring with Drake, Aiko is ready to start promoting her debut album “Souled Out.” The first single off the project comes in the form of “To Love & Die In L.A.”

Featuring constant collaborators Cocaine 80s, “To Love & Die In L.A.” is a song where the beauty risks it all for love. Aiko flips one of 50 Cent‘s most gangsta songs “Many Men” and flips the notion that many men are wishing death upon her and instead means it as haters wanting her relationship to cease in existence.

Look for “Souled Out” to be available for purchase sometime later this summer. Check the song out below. Does this make you want to pick up the album when it drops?
