According to TMZ Ray Rice is finally speaking about how he’s handling the fall-out from his actions. Now that the entire world has seen the brutal elevator video of him knocking his wife out, he definitely needed to say something…anything really.
Take a look at the painful video below.
Said Rice to ESPN,
“I have to be strong for my wife. [Janay] is so strong. We are in good spirits. We have a lot of people praying for us and we’ll continue to support each other. I have to be there for [Janay] and my family right now and work through this.”
Janay also spoke with ESPN. Said Mrs. Rice,
“I love my husband. I support him. I want people to respect our privacy in this family matter.”
We aren’t sure how or when this story will end but we are pretty sure that it won’t be anytime soon. As much as Ray Rice may deserve the heat that he is catching right now…we must ask ourselves… hasn’t Janay Rice been through enough? Should everyone give her the privacy she seems so desperate for? Or could things get worse for her as a result of all of this if the spotlight is no longer on her husband? Food for thought.
