A$AP Rocky Stars in New Film, ‘Dope’
A$AP Rocky is among the notable stars appearing in the new film Dope, written and directed by Rick Famuyiwa (The Wood, Brown Sugar). The film is a coming-of-age story set in Inglewood, CA, and follows a group of friends whose love for ‘90s hip-hop music and fashion makes them outcasts among their peers.
The film also stars Zoë Kravitz, Vince Staples, and Casey Veggies, and is headed to the Sundance Film Festival. Pharrell contributed new songs to the film’s soundtrack.
Dope doesn’t have an confirmed theatrical release date yet, but you can watch the official trailer on YouTube.
