According to ComingSoon.net, Jamie Foxx and Michelle Monaghan have been tapped to co-star in the remake of French thriller Sleepless Night, after an interesting 2014 with Annie and The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Sleepless Night  follows the story of Vincent Downs (Foxx), a seemingly corrupt Las Vegas cop whose son is kidnapped by mobsters. Downs decides to go off the books to get his son back, dodging Internal Affairs, particularly officer Jennifer Bryant (Monaghan), and the mobsters themselves.

This remake is based off of the 2011 French thriller of the same name directed by Frederic Jardin. From the early sound of things, it’s very similar to Taken, but Foxx and Monaghan are compelling enough presences that I can imagine this going over well enough. Details, including a release date, are minimal.
