Kanye Reveals His New Adidas Line Was Designed for the “Body of All Bodies”
On the heels of the premier of his Adidas Originals collection at New York Fashion Week last week, Kanye West revealed in an interview with style.com that his muse was, of course, his wife Kim Kardashian. Deeming hers “the body of all bodies,” West explained that he envisioned a feminine collection that could be simultaneously “sexy and still dignified.”
While some praised the line as being the perfect idealization of “afro-futuristic style,” while others panned the collection as looking like costumes from The Hunger Games, West shared in the interview that he actually had the opportunity to study fashion very closely as he prepared for the launch, attending school and also experimenting with re-tailoring various clothing items found around the Kardashian/Jenner household.
