In a newly published interview with USA Today, Justin Bieber revealed that he’s working with Kanye West and Rick Rubin on his upcoming album.
At present, little details are known regarding their involvement on the project, but it’s most likely something on the production front. “I’m finishing up the album now, working with Kanye [West] and Rick [Rubin],” Bieber says. “I’m not rushing it, I’ll just wait until it’s totally done.
“I don’t want to say ‘it’s different,’ because that’s what everyone says. But it is different, it’s a grown-up version of Justin and I think people will be shocked,” Biebs added.
This isn’t the first time Kanye and Justin have collaborated, either. ‘Ye produced the remix of Justin’s “Runaway Love,” released in 2010, which also features Wu-Tang Clan mainstay, Raekwon.
Oh, and if you’re interested, Justin revealed that he is single nowadays.
“Well, at this point in my life I’m so focused on myself that I’m not looking for a girlfriend,” he says. “I’m just trying to make sure I’m 100 percent so I can add to the person I want to be with. I want a girl I can trust, who I can lean on. This business is hard, and I want someone I can confide in.”
