In his first public appearance and performance since his daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her Georgia home, Bobby Brown gave an impassioned speech to an L.A. crowd about his emotional well being. TMZ was on hand to capture video at the Soul Food Festival, where Brown addressed the crowd after performing his hit single “On Our Own.”
“I must tell y’all this feels really, really, really good,” he told the crowd. “I want to thank all of y’all for coming out tonight and supporting me and my family. Rough times are rough times. Hard times are hard times. I don’t know what the hell I’m going through right now, but I’m giving it to God and letting him deal with it.”
Saturday night’s performance was Brown’s first since his 22-year-old daughter was hospitalized and reportedly put into a medically induced coma in January. Members in the Los Angeles crowd shouted, “We love you, Bobby,” before, during, and after 46-year-old hit the stage. He said he planned to head back to Atlanta immediately after the performance.
