In a recent interview with Vice’s Noisey blog, Madonna playfully flirted with the idea of dating Drake by telling interviewer Kim Taylor Bennett, “He’s cute…maybe we could double date him.” The chart-topping pop star and actress has made a career of being provocative and pushing the envelope. And Drake thought highly enough to name a song after her on his recent album, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late.
Sunday night during his headlining set at Coachella, Drake paused his set while performing the song “Madonna” to share the spotlight with “The Material Girl” herself. The pair turned heads when the 56-year-old singer gave Drake a French kiss after a brief medley in the middle of Drake’s set that included her 1994 hit, “Human Nature.”
“Oh s**t,” Drake said, after apparently being slipped the tongue by Madonna. She playfully slapped his hand away as he tried to caress her head. “What the f**k just happened?”
Drake kicked off his headlining set with “Legend” getting full crowd participation and pulled out all the stops. Tracks like Big Sean’s “Blessings” and “Tuesday” by ILoveMakonnen got covered, but Drake’s intimate campfire set was a clear highlight.
Performance was added to the Coachella live stream, despite a pre-show announcement that indicated it wouldn’t be included. Catch all the highlights from this weekend, including Drake and Madonna making out as part of TheUrbanDaily’s Coachella coverage.
